If you’re looking to get more from your meditation practice, then join us in the Mindfulness Meditation Workshop series. Whether you’re new to meditation, or have years of experience, we have a workshop that suits your needs. You’ll get the hands-on experience to take you practice to the next level. In these workshops, author and meditation teacher, Charles A. Francis, will lead in discussions, exercises, and meditation. Each is a one-day (Saturday 10 am – 4:30 pm) workshop that you can fit into your busy schedule.

Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners (March 25, 2017)
This workshop is for absolute beginners, and those with little experience. You will learn the basics of the mindfulness meditation practice, and gain the tools you need for staying engaged and motivated. You’ll learn:

  • How to calm a racing mind
  • How to overcome stress
  • How to improve your health

We will cover topics such as the nature of suffering, the sources of mental agitation, and establishing an effective meditation routine. Through this workshop you’ll find out how to get on a solid path to inner peace and true happiness.

   


Mindfulness for Intermediate Practitioners, Part 1: Enhancing Your Practice (April 22, 2017)
If you have some experience with meditation and want to reach a deeper level of inner peace, then this workshop is for you. This workshop will take you beyond the basics, and show you how to apply some more advanced techniques. You’ll learn about:

  • Tools for enhancing your practice
  • Tips for staying committed and motivated
  • The obstacles to your inner peace

We will talk about the Five Hindrance of mindfulness, the sources of spiritual nourishment, and walking meditation. This workshop is for meditators who are serious about their practice, and want to take it to a higher level.

   


Mindfulness Meditation for Healing the Body and Mind (May 27, 2017)
Are the wounds from your past holding you back? Painful memories are clear obstacles to our inner peace. The good news is that the mindfulness meditation practice is powerful enough to help you overcome these wounds, so you can be free of them once and for all. In this workshop you’ll:

  • Learn how to develop the inner strength to confront painful memories
  • Gain the support to help you overcome your pain and suffering
  • Transform anger and resentment into compassion and forgiveness

We will cover topics such as how and why we are hurt, overcoming the fragile ego, and transforming our pain through loving-kindness writing meditation. By overcoming the wounds from your past, you’ll find a freedom and inner peace that you never thought possible.

   


Mindfulness for Intermediate Practitioners, Part 2: Deepening Your Insight (June 24, 2017)
Have you ever wondered why you think and behave the way you do? In this workshop, we’ll explore some of the deeper aspects of our mind, so you can gain a greater understanding of the nature of the human condition. As you understanding deepens, so will your inner peace. You’ll learn:

  • To identify the roots of your thoughts and emotions
  • How to tap into your inner wisdom
  • How to advance your spiritual awakening

We will cover the 4 Establishments of Mindfulness, so you can deepen your insight into your mind, body, and emotions. You’ll see for yourself that with greater wisdom comes true inner peace and happiness.

   


Mindfulness for Better Relationships (July 22, 2017)
Are you sometimes baffled by personal relationships? Then this workshop is for you. We’ll take the mystery out of personal interactions, so you can cultivate deeper and more meaningful relationships. Even casual relationships will take on greater meaning. Find out:

  • How to set boundaries
  • How to practice unconditional love
  • How our relationships can nourish our spiritual growth

We will discuss the nature of our interactions with others, why we engage in power struggles, and how deep listening and mindful speech can tremendously improve our relationships. In this workshop you’ll learn a revolutionary new approach to understanding relationships, so you can cultivate greater peace and harmony with friends and loved ones.

   


Mindfulness for Advanced Practitioners, Part 1: Overcoming the Ego
(Aug. 19, 2017)
Are you ready to be free the emotions that cause you pain and suffering? When you are able to transcend the ego, worrying and loneliness will begin to disappear. You will lose the need to seek validation from others. You will:

  • Develop greater self-esteem and confidence
  • Find a deeper sense of calm and peace
  • Be able to establish deeper connections with others

You will learn how meditate on deeper subjects, such as impermanence, interbeing, and the absence of a separate self. When you are able to let go of the ego, people will no longer be able to hurt you. And each person you encounter becomes another source of spiritual nourishment, which will further enhance your development.

   


Inner Peace and Personal Transformation through Mindful Living

If you want to realize the full benefits of the mindfulness meditation practice, then it must become a way of life, and not just a part of your life. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to apply your emerging mindfulness to every area of your life. You’ll learn how to:

Mindfulness for Advanced Practitioners, Part 2: Mindful Leadership

Are you looking to change the world? Then you’ll need to understand it first. You’ll need to understand how the world is interconnected, and cause and effect relationships. This takes the vision of an enlightened person. This workshop will give you the tools to become a mindful leader. You will learn how to:

  • Find your place in the world
  • Gain a broader view of the world
  • Work with others more effectively

We will examine the world from the framework of the emerging field of systems evolution. As you develop a higher level of mindfulness, you’ll become a leader and a visionary. You’ll become one of the few people who know how to effectively change the world, and your reward will be an inner peace and serenity you never thought possible.
